POLICIES AND SPA ETIQUETTE

RESERVATIONS

We prefer reservations for services in advance; however, we will accept walk-ins as time permits. All appointments over $50 (fifty) dollars must be reserved with a credit card at the time of scheduling. Reservations not cancelled or rescheduled within 24 (twenty-four) hours of the appointment time will be charged a cancellation fee.

 

ARRIVAL TIMES

We request that new clients arrive 10-15 minutes before their appointment to allow necessary time to complete paperwork and decompress before your service begins. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their service times adjusted or may be asked to reschedule to maintain the day's schedule.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Shandon Day Spa adheres to a strict cancellation policy as follows:

We request the courtesy of a 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment or be subject to a cancellation fee up to 100% of the scheduled service(s) but not less than $25 (twenty-five) dollars per scheduled service.

 

PAYMENTS

Shandon Day Spa accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. We also accept personal checks, business checks, traveler's checks, and cash as forms of payment. All returned checks are subject to an additional “Returned Check Fee” of $30 (thirty) dollars.

 

CELL PHONES

Please respect your fellow guests by turning off or silencing all cell phones, pagers, etc. upon entering the spa. Refrain from using your cell phone while in the spa and receiving services. Telephone conversations should be confined to the lobby area or outside. Thank you for your cooperation in making everyone's spa experience enjoyable.

 

SPA VOICES/SPA ETIQUETTE

Voices can carry. Please incorporate your spa voice while you talk so as not to disrupt your neighbor's spa experience. Also many persons come to the spa to relax and may not be in the mood for conversation. Respecting everyone's wishes will ensure a pleasant experience for all.

 

CHILDREN

Although we love children, the spa's tranquil environment is not an appropriate place for them. Please do not bring your children with you for your spa appointment unless they too are receiving services. While at the spa, children should be supervised by their parents at all times. This will ensure that you and your fellow guests enjoy your experiences.

 

PERSONAL PROPERTY

For the convenience of our spa guests, lockers are provided to store your personal belongings while enjoying your spa day. You will be issued a locker and key upon arrival. Shandon Day Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates may be purchased for any dollar amount, service, or spa package. Gift certificates have a flexible one (1) year expiration date (see Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions). Gift certificates are non-refundable, non-replaceable; but are transferable. Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase products or toward gratuities. Gift certificates must be presented at the time of the service. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

 

SPA PARTIES

We can accommodate spa parties from large groups to small, including “Princess Parties” for your little girls age 15 and under. A reservation fee of two hundred dollars is required to schedule a party of four or more people and a 15% gratuity will be added to the cost of services (see “Policy and Procedures for Spa Parties and Princess Parties”). GRATUITY

A gratuity is a thank you that is always appreciated. Gratuities are accepted but are paid at the discretion of the client. Gratuities are not included in the costs of our services or regular gift certificates, however, a 10% gratuity is included in the cost of our Spa “Value Packages.” The amount of gratuity given is up to the wishes of the client.

 

DISCOUNT DAYS*

We offer the following groups a 10% discount on services Mon-Thurs with proper id: Teachers, Active Military, Civil Servants (Fire, Police, EMT), Colonial Life Insurance Employees, Blue Cross Blue Shield Employees, Palmetto Health Employees, Bellsouth Employees, Seniors 65 and older, and USC Students and Faculty.
